When we sleep, amazing things happen in our bodies.

  1. Repair: Our body fixes any damaged cells and muscles from the day.
  2. Clean-up: Our brain gets rid of waste and makes us feel fresh.
  3. Memory storage: Our brain sorts and stores memories like files in a folder.
  4. Growth: Our body releases special helpers (hormones) to make us grow and strong.
  5. Energy recharge: We get the energy we need to run around and have fun the next day.

That's why sleep is very important for our bodies and brains.
