921 - How do meteorologists measure and track weather patterns?
Meteorologists use many tools to measure and track weather patterns. Here are some of them:
Radar: It sends radio waves into the sky and receives back signals that bounce off rain or other weather conditions. This helps us see what's happening in the atmosphere.
Satellites: Satellites in space take pictures of the Earth, showing cloud formations and weather patterns. They can even see temperature and humidity changes.
Weather Stations: These are small instruments on the ground that measure temperature, humidity, wind speed, and other conditions.
Balloons: Weather balloons float high into the atmosphere and take readings of temperature, humidity, and air pressure.
Computer Models: Meteorologists use computer models to analyze all the data from these tools and predict what the weather will be like in the future.
All these tools help meteorologists understand what's happening with the weather and make predictions about what's coming next.
