81 - What is a food chain?
A food chain is like a line showing who eats who in nature. It starts from tiny plants that make their own food, and then shows the animals that eat those plants, and the other animals that eat those animals, and so on.
Example: - Plants (make their own food) - Grasshopper eats plants - Frog eats grasshopper - Snake eats frog
This line shows the food chain and how energy is passed from one living thing to another.
