791 - How do you warm up before jogging and cool down afterward?
Warming up and cooling down is important for your body when you jog. Here's how:
Warming Up (5-10 minutes): 1. March in place or walk quickly to get your heart beating faster. 2. Do some light stretching, like touching your toes, bending your knees, or swinging your arms. 3. Run in place or jog slowly to get your muscles ready.
Cooling Down (5-10 minutes): 1. Slow down your jog and walk to get your heart back to normal. 2. Do some static stretches, like: * Touching your toes * Stretching your calf muscles by leaning against a wall * Stretching your hamstrings by bending forward * Stretching your arms and chest 3. Take deep breaths and rest.
Remember to listen to your body and take breaks if you need to. Always ask a grown-up for help if you're unsure.
