754 - What are some good stretches to improve flexibility?

Here are some simple stretches to improve flexibility that you can do:

  1. Neck Stretch: Slowly tilt your head to the right, bringing your ear towards your shoulder. Hold for 10 seconds, then switch to the left side.

  2. Shoulder Rolls: Roll your shoulders forward and backward in a circular motion. Repeat 5-10 times.

  3. Quad Stretch: Stand with one hand against a wall and lift one leg behind you. Keep your knee straight and hold for 10 seconds. Switch legs.

  4. Calf Stretch: Stand facing a wall with your feet shoulder-width apart. Step one foot back about a foot and keep your heel on the ground. Bend your front knee and lean forward. Hold for 10 seconds, then switch legs.

  5. Hamstring Stretch: Sit on the floor with your legs straight out in front of you. Lean forward and reach for your toes. Hold for 10 seconds.

  6. Hip Flexor Stretch: Kneel on all fours with your hands and knees on the ground. Bring one knee forward and place your foot flat on the ground in front of the other knee. Lean forward, stretching the front of your hip. Hold for 10 seconds, then switch legs.

  7. Back Stretch: Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and your hands on a wall or door frame. Lean back, stretching your chest and shoulders. Hold for 10 seconds.

Remember to breathe and don't bounce while stretching. It's also important to stretch before and after exercise.
