72 - Why do we have different types of teeth?

We have different types of teeth because they help us do different jobs when we eat. There are four main types:

  1. Incisors (front teeth): These are for biting and cutting food.
  2. Canines (pointy teeth): These are for tearing food apart.
  3. Premolars (side teeth): These are for crushing and grinding food.
  4. Molars (back teeth): These are also for crushing and grinding, especially hard foods like nuts.

Having different types of teeth helps us chew and swallow our food more easily.
