704 - How do traffic jams occur, and how can we reduce them?

Imagine you're playing with toy cars on a road. If many cars want to pass through a small space at the same time, they'll get stuck. This is what happens in real life, and it's called a traffic jam.

Traffic jams occur when:

  1. Many cars use the same road at the same time.
  2. Road accidents or construction block part of the road.
  3. There are not enough roads or lanes.

To reduce traffic jams:

  1. Leave for school or work a little earlier to avoid rush hour.
  2. Use public transport like buses or trains.
  3. Carpool with friends or family members.
  4. Use roads that are less busy or offer alternative routes.
  5. Follow traffic rules and drive safely to avoid accidents.

Remember, if everyone does their part, we can reduce traffic jams and make our roads safer and more efficient.
