628 - How do light bulbs produce light?
A light bulb produces light when electricity makes a tiny wire (called a filament) inside the bulb very hot. This hot wire glows, creating light.
Here's how it works:
- Electricity flows into the bulb.
- The electricity heats up the filament (a thin metal wire) until it's super hot.
- When the filament gets really hot, it starts to glow.
- As the filament glows, it creates light that we can see.
That's the basic idea behind how a light bulb works.
