593 - What is pollution, and what are its different types?

Pollution is when we put bad or unhealthy things into our environment, like air, water, or earth, that can harm people, animals, and plants.

There are several types of pollution:

  1. Air pollution: When bad things like smoke, dust, and chemicals go into the air, making it hard to breathe and causing problems like smog.
  2. Water pollution: When bad things like chemicals, oil, or waste get into our oceans, lakes, and rivers, making it hard for fish and other animals to live and for us to drink.
  3. Soil pollution: When bad things like chemicals, pesticides, or waste get into the earth, making it hard for plants to grow and causing problems for animals that live underground.
  4. Noise pollution: When it's too loud, like from cars, music, or machines, that can hurt our ears and cause stress.
  5. Light pollution: When there's too much light, like from cities or streetlights, that can make it hard to see the stars and affect animals that need darkness to live.

We need to be careful and try to reduce pollution to keep our planet healthy and clean.
