475 - How do we use a microscope, and what can we see with it?

Using a microscope is fun and easy. Here's how:

1. First, put a tiny sample on a slide. This can be a drop of water, a small insect, or even a piece of your hair.
2. Next, place the slide under the microscope.
3. Look through the lens, which is the part you look through. You might need to adjust it to see the sample clearly.
4. Turn the knob on the side to make the sample bigger or smaller.

With a microscope, you can see really small things that you can't see with your eyes alone. Some cool things you can see with a microscope include:

• Tiny bugs like bacteria and protozoa -Cells in your body, like skin cells or blood cells
• Insect eggs and baby insects
• Tiny rocks and soil particles
• Even tiny things on your food, like salt crystals

Remember to always be gentle with the microscope and the things you're looking at.
