In science, we use a system called the International System of Units (SI units). The basic units are:

  1. Meter (m) - to measure length
  2. Liter (L) - to measure volume
  3. Gram (g) - to measure weight or mass
  4. Kelvin (K) - to measure temperature
  5. Second (s) - to measure time
  6. Ampere (A) - to measure electricity

These units help us measure and compare things in a standard way.
