354 - How do plants and animals adapt to their environments?
Plants and animals adapt to their environments through different changes in their body or behavior. This is called 'adaptation'. Here are some examples:
- Camouflage: Some animals change color to blend with their surroundings, like chameleons.
- Special body parts: Plants grow roots deep to reach water, and animals grow sharp claws to climb trees.
- Migration: Some birds and animals move to warmer or cooler places during season changes.
- Thick coats or fur: Animals grow thick coats in cold places to keep warm.
- Special senses: Some animals have great night vision, like owls, to find food in the dark.
All these changes help them survive and live happily in their environment.
