34 - What is climate change?
Climate change is when the Earth's temperature is getting warmer. This is happening because of bad things people have done to the environment, like:
- Burning fossil fuels (like gasoline and coal) which releases bad gases into the air.
- Cutting down trees, which helps clean the air.
- Throwing away too many plastics and other trash.
These bad things trap heat around the Earth, making it warmer. It's like when you wear a big, thick blanket and feel too hot. The Earth is like that, and it's making really big problems like:
- Rising sea levels ( oceans getting bigger)
- Really bad storms and floods
- Animals losing their homes
We need to take care of the Earth by reducing our bad habits and using renewable energy to stop climate change.
