32 - Why are rainforests important?
Rainforests are really important for our planet. Here's why:
- Home for animals: Many cool animals like monkeys, sloths, and jaguars live in rainforests. They need a safe place to live, just like we do.
- Produce oxygen: Rainforests are like the lungs of the Earth. They help make oxygen for us to breathe.
- Keep us from getting too hot: Rainforests absorb carbon dioxide, which helps keep the planet cool. This prevents the Earth from getting too hot.
- Provide medicine: Many medicines come from plants found in rainforests. We need these medicines to stay healthy.
- Help with climate change: Rainforests help keep the climate stable by regulating the water and weather.
So, we need to take care of our rainforests to keep our planet healthy and happy.
