317 - How do plants and animals interact in an ecosystem?
In an ecosystem, plants and animals interact in many ways. Here are some examples:
Food Chain: Plants make food from sunlight (photosynthesis). Animals eat plants, and other animals eat those animals. This creates a food chain where each living thing gets energy from the one below it.
Shelter: Plants provide homes and shelter for animals, like birds living in trees or rabbits living in bushes.
Air and Water: Plants help clean the air by removing bad things, and they also help keep the soil healthy, which keeps our water clean.
Pollination: Animals, like bees and butterflies, help plants make seeds by moving pollen from one plant to another.
Decomposition: When plants and animals die, they get broken down by tiny living things like fungi and bacteria, which helps create nutrient-rich soil for new plants to grow.
So, plants and animals work together to keep their ecosystem healthy and balanced.
