27 - What is the difference between a plant cell and an animal cell?

The main differences between a plant cell and an animal cell are:

  1. Cell Wall: Plant cells have a strong outer wall that gives them shape and protects them. Animal cells don't have a cell wall.
  2. Chloroplasts: Plant cells have tiny parts called chloroplasts that help them make food using sunlight. Animal cells don't have chloroplasts.
  3. Vacuoles: Plant cells have a large storage space called a vacuole where they store water and food. Animal cells have smaller vacuoles or none at all.
  4. Lysosomes: Animal cells have small sacs called lysosomes that help break down waste and old cells. Plant cells have them too, but they're not as big or important.
  5. Shape: Plant cells are usually square or rectangular in shape, while animal cells are more rounded and flexible.

These differences help plants and animals do their jobs and survive in their environments.
