264 - What are the main types of ecosystems?
There are mainly 4 types of ecosystems:
- Terrestrial ecosystem (land): includes forests, deserts, and grasslands.
- Freshwater ecosystem (rivers, lakes, and wetlands): home to fish and plants that live in water, but not saltwater.
- Marine ecosystem (oceans and seas): includes coral reefs and deep-sea life, with saltwater and lots of species.
- Atmospheric ecosystem (air): includes the air we breathe and all living things that depend on the air for life.
These ecosystems are all connected and play important roles in our Earth's environment.
