There are 7 major biomes in the world. A biome is a big area with a specific type of environment and living things. Here are the major biomes:

  2. Rainforest Biome: Very green and rainy places like the Amazon in South America.
  3. Grassland Biome: Big areas of grass with few trees, like the savannas in Africa.

  5. Tundra Biome: Very cold and icy places like the Arctic in North America and Russia.
  6. Freshwater Biome: Rivers, lakes, and ponds with fish and other water animals.
