221 - How does electricity flow in a circuit?

Imagine water flowing through a pipe. Electricity flows through a circuit in a similar way. Here's how:

  1. A power source (like a battery) creates electricity.
  2. The electricity flows out of the battery and into a wire (like a pipe).
  3. The wire carries the electricity around the circuit.
  4. The electricity flows through things like lights or devices (like faucets) that use the electricity.
  5. When the electricity has gone through all the things in the circuit, it goes back to the power source (like the water flows back to the water tank).

This is called a "loop" or "circuit", and it's what makes electricity work.
