200 - What is force, and how does it work?

Imagine you're playing tug-of-war with your friends. When you pull on the rope, you're using force. Force is a push or a pull that makes something move or change its shape.

There are two main types of force:

  1. Push: When you push something, you're using force to move it away from you. Like when you push a swing.
  2. Pull: When you pull something, you're using force to bring it towards you. Like when you pull the rope in tug-of-war.

Forces can be strong or weak, depending on how hard you push or pull. They can also come from different directions. When forces work together, they can make things move faster or change their direction.

For example, when you're in a car, the wheels use force to push against the road, making the car move. At the same time, the wind is using force to try to slow the car down.

Force is all around us, and it helps us understand how the world works.
