195 - How does acid rain form?
Acid rain is formed when pollutants like sulfur and nitrogen oxides from factories, cars, and other human activities go up into the air.
These pollutants mix with water and oxygen in the clouds, forming acid. When it rains, the acid comes down to the ground as acid rain.
Think of it like a big mixture: - Pollutants go up into the air - Mix with water and oxygen in clouds - Form acid - Acid falls down to the ground as acid rain
This can be bad for plants, animals, and even our buildings.
