18 - What are the different types of clouds?

There are many types of clouds. They are usually divided into three main groups:

  1. Cirrus clouds (high and thin, look like feathers).
  2. Cumulus clouds (puffy and white, like cauliflower).
  3. Stratus clouds (low and flat, like a layer of fog).

There are also other types: - Nimbus clouds (dark and full of rain). - Cumulonimbus clouds (tall and can make thunderstorms). - Altocumulus clouds (mid-level, patchy, and can have waves). - Altostratus clouds (mid-level and can cover the whole sky).

These are the main types, but there are many other types too.
