1682 - What is the law of universal gravitation?

The law of universal gravitation is a rule discovered by Sir Isaac Newton. It says that everything in the world (and even in space) has a force of attraction. This force is called gravity.

Imagine you have a ball, and you throw it up. What happens? It comes back down to the ground, right? That's because the Earth is pulling on the ball with its gravity.

This rule also applies to other things, not just the Earth. The Earth is being pulled towards the Sun by the Sun's gravity, and you are being pulled towards the floor by the Earth's gravity. It's a force that connects everything in the universe.
