16 - Why do stars twinkle?

Stars twinkle because of how light from the stars travels to our eyes. When light from the stars enters Earth's atmosphere, it goes through layers of air that are always moving. These movements make the light bend and change direction, causing the twinkling effect. It's like the light is being bounced around on its way to our eyes, making the star look like it's twinkling.
