1598 - What are animal reproduction and embryonic development?

Imagine you have a pet, and you want more pets like it. That's basically what animal reproduction and embryonic development are.

Animal Reproduction: It's the process by which animals make more animals. There are two main ways:

  1. Sexual reproduction (like humans): A male and female mate, and the male's sperm meets the female's egg to create a baby.
  2. Asexual reproduction (like some insects): One parent creates a copy of itself without mating.

Embryonic Development: After the egg is fertilized (joined with sperm), it starts to grow and change into a tiny creature called an embryo. This embryo develops into a fetus, and eventually, a baby animal is born.

In simple words, animal reproduction is how animals make babies, and embryonic development is how those babies grow inside their mom before they're born.
