1573 - Why does the position of the sun in the sky change with the seasons.

The position of the sun in the sky changes with the seasons because of how the Earth moves. The Earth rotates on its side as it orbits the sun, and this tilt is about 23 degrees.

Imagine you're holding a big beach ball (the Earth) and you're tilting it a bit to one side. Now, when you spin the ball, different parts of it will face the sun at different times of the year.

In the summer, the part of the Earth where you live is tilted towards the sun, so the sun appears higher in the sky. In the winter, it's tilted away from the sun, so the sun appears lower. This change causes the seasons to change.
