155 - What is a chemical equation?
A chemical equation is like a recipe. It shows how substances (called chemicals) mix and change into new substances.
It has two parts:
- The stuff we start with, called the 'reactants' (written on the left).
- The stuff we end up with, called the 'products' (written on the right).
For example: 2H + O → H2O (this makes water).
