153 - What is the pH scale?
The pH scale is like a measuring stick for how acidic or basic something is. It's like a number line from 0 to 14.
- 0-6.9 is acidic (like lemon juice or vinegar)
- 7 is neutral (like water)
- 7.1-14 is basic (like soap or baking soda)
The more towards 0, the more acidic it is, and the more towards 14, the more basic it is. This helps us understand how different things can affect our bodies and the environment.
