1502 - What is a phase diagram of matter.
Imagine you have a special chart that shows how different things (like water or ice) can change from one state to another (like solid, liquid, or gas). That's called a phase diagram.
The chart has two main parts: 1. Temperature (how hot or cold it is) 2. Pressure (how strong the air or other forces are)
When you change the temperature or pressure, the state of the matter (like water) can change. The chart shows you exactly what will happen.
For example, if you have water and you lower the temperature, the chart will show when it turns into ice. If you raise the temperature again, it will show when the ice melts into water.
So, a phase diagram is like a map that helps us understand how different things can change from one state to another.
