1489 - What are the four fundamental interactions that govern all interactions in the natural world?

There are four main forces that help explain how the whole universe works. These are:

  1. Gravity: This is the force that pulls you towards the ground and what keeps you on the ground. It's also what keeps the Earth moving around the Sun.

  2. Electromagnetism: This is the force that helps things stick together (like magnets) and also what makes light. It's also what makes electricity work.

  3. Strong Nuclear Force: This is the force that holds tiny things called atoms together. It's what keeps the protons and neutrons inside the center of an atom.

  4. Weak Nuclear Force: This is the force that helps some atoms break apart, which is important for things like the sun's energy and some kinds of radioactivity.

These four forces are what help explain almost everything in the universe.
