1440 - What is identity and different representations.
Imagine you're drawing a picture of yourself. You might draw different pictures for different situations. One picture might show you playing soccer, one might show you with your family, and one might show you with your friends.
These different pictures represent different parts of who you are. Your "identity" is like the collection of all these pictures. It's who you are as a person, including your interests, values, and relationships.
There are different ways to represent your identity, such as:
- Your name and how people know you
- The things you like to do and are good at
- Your culture and where you come from
- The friends you have and the groups you belong to
- The way you look and express yourself
Just like the different pictures, these representations can be different in different situations. For example, you might act one way with your friends and another way with your family. But all of these representations together make up who you are as a person.
