1423 - What are the impacts of climate change?
Climate change is when the Earth gets warmer due to bad things that people have done. This causes lots of problems. Here are some of them:
Rising Sea Levels: Melting ice and glaciers make the ocean level go up, and this can flood coastal areas and even whole islands.
Extreme Weather: We're seeing more really hot days, super-hard storms, and not enough rain in some places, which affects farms and animals.
Droughts: Less rain in some places means that crops can't grow, and animals don't have water.
Losing Animals' Homes: Warmer weather melts the homes of animals like polar bears and penguins, and can even make them sick.
More Diseases: Warmer weather can help bad bugs that give us diseases grow and spread faster.
Climate change is a big problem that we need to work together to solve by using less energy, planting more trees, and reducing waste.
