1415 - What is the relationship between energy development, utilization, and sustainability
Imagine you have a piggy bank where you save money. Energy development is like putting money into the piggy bank (finding more energy sources). Energy utilization is like spending the money in the piggy bank (using energy to power homes, schools, etc.). Sustainability is like making sure you have enough money in the piggy bank to last a long time, so you don't run out.
For energy, sustainability means doing the following:
- Using renewable energy sources (like solar and wind) that won't run out.
- Not wasting energy (turning off lights when not needed).
- Protecting the environment (not polluting when producing energy).
So, to be sustainable, we need to develop energy sources that are good for the planet, use them wisely, and make sure we have enough for the future.
