131 - How does the circulatory system work?
The circulatory system is like a delivery truck for your body. It has three main parts:
- Heart: It's like the truck depot where blood is collected and distributed.
- Blood: It's the delivery truck that carries oxygen and nutrients to all parts of your body.
- Blood Vessels: They're like the roads that the delivery truck (blood) travels on.
Here's how it works:
- The heart pumps blood (delivery truck) from the depot (heart) into the main roads (arteries).
- The blood carries oxygen and nutrients to all parts of your body through smaller roads (capillaries).
- The blood picks up waste from your body and carries it back to the depot (heart) through other roads (veins).
- The heart then pumps the blood to the lungs to pick up more oxygen.
- The cycle starts all over again, keeping your body healthy and strong.
