1280 - What is the difference between the offspring produced by sexual reproduction and their parents?

In sexual reproduction, the offspring (kids) are created by combining half of mom's and half of dad's genetic information (DNA). This is called mixing genes.

So, the main difference between the offspring and their parents is that they have a unique combination of genes from mom and dad. This is why you might look a little like mom and a little like dad, but not exactly like either one of them.
