Molecules and atoms are related in that molecules are made up of atoms.

Think of atoms as the LEGO bricks and molecules as the things you build using those LEGO bricks. Just like how you connect LEGO bricks together to make a house or car, atoms connect together to form molecules.

For example, water is a molecule made up of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom. So, atoms are the building blocks, and when they combine, they form molecules.
