There are eight planets that orbit the Sun besides Earth. They are:

  1. Mercury - closest to the Sun
  2. Venus - next to Mercury
  3. Mars - a rocky planet
  4. Jupiter - the biggest planet
  5. Saturn - has beautiful rings
  6. Uranus - a cold, icy planet
  7. Neptune - the farthest planet from the Sun

These eight planets, along with Earth, make up our solar system.
