111 - What are the main layers of the Earth?

Imagine the Earth like an onion with layers. There are 4 main layers:

  1. Crust: The outer layer, where we live. It's thin and rocky.
  2. Mantle: Under the crust, it's thick, hot, and made of slow-moving rocks.
  3. Outer Core: A liquid metal layer, where the Earth's magnetic field is made.
  4. Inner Core: The center of the Earth, a solid iron ball that's really hot.

These layers work together to make our planet the way it is.
