1087 - How does heat transfer from high to low temperatures and what methods can be used to conserve and dissipate it in daily life.

Heat transfer happens when heat moves from a high-temperature area to a low-temperature area. There are three main ways heat transfers:

  1. Conduction: Heat moves through direct contact, like when you hold a hot cup of coffee and the heat goes into your hands.
  2. Convection: Heat rises, like when you see steam rising from a hot cup, and cooler air moves in to replace it.
  3. Radiation: Heat travels in invisible waves, like how the sun heats you up even when you're not touching it.

To conserve heat (keep things warm):

To dissipate heat (get rid of extra heat):

These methods help us manage heat in our daily lives and stay comfortable.
