1083 - What are the properties of air and gases?

There are four main properties of air and gases:

  1. Expansion: Gases expand and spread out when they are heated or are in a large space.
  2. Compressibility: Gases take up more space when the pressure is low and less space when it's high.
  3. Shape and Volume: Gases have neither shape nor volume of their own; they take the shape of the container they're in.
  4. Weight: Gases also have weight even though they can be invisible.
