1083 - What are the properties of air and gases?
There are four main properties of air and gases:
- Expansion: Gases expand and spread out when they are heated or are in a large space.
- Compressibility: Gases take up more space when the pressure is low and less space when it's high.
- Shape and Volume: Gases have neither shape nor volume of their own; they take the shape of the container they're in.
- Weight: Gases also have weight even though they can be invisible.
These properties are essential to understanding how air and gases behave in the world around us.
