1068 - Why do we age?

We age because our bodies are made of tiny cells that can't stay healthy and strong forever. As we grow, our cells divide and multiply many times, but each time they divide, tiny mistakes (like wee typos) happen in our DNA.

These mistakes build up over time and make our cells less healthy and strong. They can get damaged and even die. That's why we see wrinkles, gray hair, and other signs of aging.

Also, as we get older, our bodies start to produce less of the things that help keep us young and healthy, like growth hormones and stuff that keeps our skin looking smooth.

So, it's like our cells get tired and can't work as well as they used to, and that's why we age.
