1019 - What is the difference between a conductor and an insulator?

Imagine electricity as water flowing through a pipe.

A conductor is like a pipe with no holes or blocks. The water (electricity) can flow easily through it. Examples of conductors are copper wires, metals, and some liquids.

An insulator is like a pipe with lots of holes or blocks. The water (electricity) can't flow through it easily. Examples of insulators are plastics, wood, rubber, and air. They stop or slow down the flow of electricity.
